Important details
- Two boxes, two ways to start each. The full-size Tip Box is $499 one-time, or nothing down at $49 per month on a 24-month term. The Tip Box Mini is $199 one-time, or nothing down at $39 per month. After the term the fee drops to $29 and the box is yours.
- Software is billed monthly. Buy the box and service has a 6-month minimum per box; after that it runs month to month and can be canceled on 30 days notice. No money down carries the 24-month term per box.
- Pooling, shift closeout, the payroll export, and the reporting dashboard are all included at no extra cost.
- Processing is charged as a cost on each tip. Depending on your state rules, it can be taken out of the tip, absorbed by the wash, or covered by the customer at the box.
- Each box you add is billed at the same rate as the first, and its minimum or term starts on the date it is installed. Delivery and any tax are quoted separately.
Beside Rain Pay, not instead of it.
A tip is not a wash charge, so it does not belong on the same screen. Tip Box takes the tip; everything you already run keeps running.

Does the customer need an app?

Yes. The terminal is rugged and outdoor-rated, with a screen you can still read in direct sun.
Who pays the processing fee?
It is charged as a cost on the transaction rather than netted out automatically. Depending on your state rules it can be taken out of the tip, absorbed by the wash, or covered by the customer right at the box, which is the option most operators turn on so the crew receives the full amount.
